Recently, Ms. Ying (pseudonym), a person with a disability in Yunshan Subdistrict of Lanxi City, fractured her bone after falling while riding an e-bike. Due to limited mobility and unfamiliarity with insurance reporting and claims procedures, she was concerned about medical costs not being reimbursed and the resulting financial burden on her family.
Upon learning of the situation, staff from the township (street) Disabled Persons' Federation proactively reached out to Ms. Ying, explained the disability accident insurance coverage policies, and provided full assistance and guidance throughout the claims process. The insurer opened a dedicated fast-track channel for disabled claimants, simplifying documentation requirements and approval procedures to expedite case resolution and ensure timely settlement.

This scene vividly illustrates Lanxi City Disabled Persons' Federation's effort to advance the welfare project of accidental injury insurance for persons with disabilities. This marks the tenth consecutive year that Lanxi has provided unified accidental injury insurance coverage for all certified persons with disabilities across the city, demonstrating its sustained commitment to people's livelihoods by providing a "protective umbrella" for this group.
To truly bridge the "last mile" of claims services and ensure that insured persons with disabilities have clear channels for reporting incidents and reliable coverage, the Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation has established a streamlined reporting and claims process. In the event of an accidental injury, insured individuals should immediately call "95518" to file a report. Our staff will provide end-to-end support—including registration, procedural guidance, document assistance, and claims follow-up—to help persons with disabilities complete their claims efficiently.
"The government provides free insurance coverage every year, so we don't have to pay out of pocket. Whether it's a fall or an injury, we're protected—giving us great peace of mind," said many people with disabilities. They noted that this stable, long-term insurance policy gives them more confidence and security in their daily lives.
