To further uphold the political and people-centered nature of financial work and advance the development of pension finance, China Chengxin Trust recently partnered with PICC Life Insurance's Beijing Chaoyang Branch to launch two standalone "elderly care service trusts" for single clients in Chaoyang District. This marks another significant milestone in the company's elderly care trust initiatives, following successful implementations of trusts for elderly individuals caring for disabled dependents and DINK families. It expands application scenarios for elderly care trusts and provides a proven solution addressing the unique aging challenges faced by single individuals.

As societal values diversify, remaining single by choice is gaining visibility. This group often faces real challenges: no one to manage their retirement, oversee assets, protect their rights, or handle final affairs. Traditional tools like standalone insurance policies or wills struggle to simultaneously address financial management, personal care, medical emergencies, and long-term care payments. Many singles, even before reaching old age, anticipate these future challenges and seek proactive solutions. 依托中诚信托 (Zhongcheng Trust) and PICC Life Insurance's prior joint initiative—a special customer engagement program focused on elderly care trusts—the two companies conducted in-depth one-on-one consultations and comprehensive family risk assessments for two long-standing single clients in Chaoyang District, Beijing. They designed an integrated elderly care protection plan combining "insurance + trust + direct payment at senior living communities + emergency medical representation + advance healthcare directives + appointed guardianship + will." Tailored to each client's age and family situation, the implementation followed a phased approach: full planning with step-by-step execution. The initial phase successfully secured "insurance + trust + direct community payment + emergency medical representation + advance healthcare directives," with all relevant documents officially notarized.
Compared to previously launched elderly care trust projects, the project plan implemented by Chengxin Trust this time features three innovative explorations.
First, it expands the customer scenarios for elderly care trusts by including, for the first time, the retirement planning needs of single, unmarried, and middle-aged clients.
Second, leverage insurance advantages by utilizing the safety, long-term nature, and risk protection features of insurance products to meet the long-term asset management needs of retirement planning clients and secure future retirement benefits in advance.
Third, adopt an "overall planning with phased implementation" approach by leveraging emergency medical decision-making proxies and advance healthcare directives to first mitigate customers' unexpected risks. These innovative initiatives reflect the unique needs of single individuals preparing for aging and have received strong customer approval during implementation.
To date, China Chengxin Trust has successfully implemented pension trust services for three key groups in Beijing: families caring for elderly parents, DINK (double income, no kids) households, and single individuals. We are now advancing service solutions for other typical pension market segments. Moving forward, China Chengxin Trust will leverage its professional expertise and integrate diverse financial and legal tools to meet the evolving pension needs of various customer groups across multiple scenarios. We remain committed to accumulating replicable and scalable business practices, placing people at the center to enhance public well-being, and contributing more to the development of comprehensive pension finance.
