The 2026 Financial Street Forum Inclusive Insurance Parallel Session is about to open.

The 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Meeting will be held in Beijing from 10 to 22. As a key component of this year's forum, the Inclusive Insurance Parallel Forum, co-organized by China Life Insurance Company Limited with the theme "Upholding the People-Centered Foundation of Insurance and Leveraging Inclusive Insurance for Effective Governance," will take place at the Beijing Financial Asset Exchange on 10, from 14:00 to 17:00. Notably, this marks the first time since the establishment of the Financial Street Forum Annual Meeting that a dedicated session has been set up for inclusive insurance topics, aiming to explore in depth how the insurance industry can accelerate the development of inclusive insurance and inject greater resilience into social governance.

This parallel forum, themed "Upholding the People-Centric Foundation of Insurance and Enhancing the Effectiveness of Inclusive Support for Governance," aligns with the critical phase of advancing modernization in China's national governance system and capabilities during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It brings together leading figures from government, industry, and academia for dialogue. The event features two key segments: keynote speeches and a roundtable discussion. The keynote session centers on "The Strategic Role and Diverse Practices of Inclusive Insurance Services in Supporting '15th Five-Year' Social Governance." Speakers include: - Zhang Yao, Deputy Director of the Life Insurance Supervision Department, National Financial Regulatory Administration; - Li Mingguang, Party Secretary and President, China Life Insurance Company Limited; - Hu Wei, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited; - Sun Lei, Deputy Executive Officer for Asia, Generali Group; - Suo Lingyan, Vice Dean of the School of Economics, Peking University; - Kai-Uwe Schanz, Senior Advisor, International Association of Insurance Economists (Geneva Association); - Song Haidong, Vice President of Huawei's Insurance Business Unit.

The roundtable discussion focuses on the launch of the "Sixth Insurance"—the long-term care insurance system blueprint and implementation pathways. Distinguished experts including Zheng Bingwen, former member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chief Expert at the World Social Security Research Center, CASS; Cai Lianhe, General Manager of Ruimai Life Insurance Co., Ltd.; He Yongping, General Manager of Health Insurance Division of China Life Insurance Company Limited; Liu Feng, Chairman and General Manager of Tianjin Xiaocheng Group Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Jun, Chairman and General Manager of Shanghai Shuyuliankang Technology Co., Ltd., engage in dialogue around core issues of the long-term care insurance industry chain to explore the system blueprint and practical pathways for long-term care insurance.

Additionally, the forum will invite experts from relevant fields. As the organizer, China Life Insurance Company Limited stated that it will leverage its insurance expertise to build a high-level dialogue platform, contributing insights and solutions to enhance the role of inclusive insurance in social governance.

The forum is currently in the process of being organized. We invite all sectors of society to stay tuned. (China Life)
